Minnesota Students of Color Invited to
Apply for Page Foundation College
Scholarships. The foundation is
currently accepting applications for
educational grants from Minnesota
students of color who plan to study at
accredited Minnesota colleges,
universities, or vocational schools next
year. Approximately 500 renewable grants
ranging from $900 to $2,500 per year
will be awarded for the 2001-02 academic
year. In addition to maintaining their
studies, grant recipients must complete
a service-to-children project that
involves helping younger children of
color by acting as mentors and role
models for approximately two hours per
week during the school year. Deadline:

Educators is offering several

Assistance Awards Program (ASAAP) -
ASAAP is a public-private partnership,
providing scholarships to students from
Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the
Philippines currently enrolled at
accredited 4-year academic institutions
in the U.S.
Korean Student Assistance Awards Program
(KSAAP) - KSAAP is a public-private
partnership, providing scholarships to
students from the Republic of Korea
currently enrolled at accredited 4-year
academic institutions in the U.S.
Rhys Glynn-Jones Memorial South Pacific
Scholarship Program is a scholarship
program for undergraduate students from
the South Pacific who are currently
enrolled at accredited higher education
institutions in the U.S.
The American Cancer Society, is offering
college scholarships of $1,000 for the
fall 2002 school year to young cancer
survivors in Indiana and Michigan to
help them achieve their goals of higher
education.
McNeil Consumer & Specialty
Pharmaceuticals, makers of the Tylenol
family of products, has announced that
students preparing for health-related
careers can apply for one of 160 grants
from the Tylenol Brand Scholarship Fund.
This year's fund will total $250,000,
including ten grants of $10,000 each and
150 grants of $1,000 each. To be
eligible, applicants must be pursuing an
undergraduate course of study in the
fall of 2002 at an accredited two- or
four-year college, university, or
vocational-technical school. This
includes those students currently
enrolled in an undergraduate course of
study and who have one or more years of
school remaining. Scholarship recipients
will be selected on the basis of
leadership in their community and school
activities, grade point average, and
intended focus on healthcare-related
areas of study.
The American Chemical Society sponsors
scholarship programs for qualified
applicants who want to enter the fields
of chemistry, biochemistry, or chemical
engineering, as well as students seeking
a two-year degree in chemical
technology. The programs are designed to
encourage African American, Hispanic,
and Native American students to pursue
undergraduate college degrees in the
chemical sciences and chemical
technology. Deadline: February 15,
annually.
Tao Shing Pee Education Foundation -
providing scholarships for Chinese
citizens to study in the MBA program at
Harvard Business School.
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Launches
Graduate Scholarships Program. The Cooke
Foundation has announced that it is
accepting applications for its Graduate
Scholarships Program. In the first year
of the program, the foundation will
dedicate $2.5 million to fund graduate
scholarships for 50 college seniors who
are residents of Maryland, Virginia, and
the District of Columbia. (The program
is expected to expand in successive
years to support students from other
states and countries.)
GreenPoint Financial Corp. has announced
that GreenPoint Foundation, the
educational and charitable affiliate of
GreenPoint Bank, is now accepting
applications for the 2002 GreenPoint
Achiever (GPA) Scholarship Program.
GreenPoint Achievers scholarships are
awarded to high school seniors who plan
to attend an accredited two- or
four-year college or university.
Applicants must reside in the boroughs
of Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, the
Bronx, or Staten Island, or Westchester,
Nassau, or Suffolk Counties. Winners are
selected for their academic performance,
financial need, and future potential, as
reflected by their participation in
school and neighborhood community
service, work experience, and
educational goals. Each scholarship is
worth up to $10,000 over a four-year
period. A total of 100 new scholarships
representing a commitment of $1,000,000
will be awarded in June 2002.
Zenith Foundation - offers maritime
training, scholarships, and
environmental study programs for at risk
youth in Washington State.
The Women's Sports Foundation is
Accepting Applications for Grants and
Scholarship Programs.
The State Farm Companies Foundation
currently supports scholarship programs
for undergraduate and graduate students.

The Educational Foundation awards

commitments and financial circumstances

Business and Professional Women
Foundation
In 1999, the BPW Foundation received
more than 1100 applications from
qualified women and awarded 226
scholarships. The success of this
program is measured in the success of
the recipients. Ninety-nine percent of
scholarship recipients complete their
degrees and double their annual incomes.
The Chautauqua Region Community
Foundation is one of the largest sources
of scholarship aid in Southwestern New
York. A majority of the scholarships are
administered by the Foundation for the
benefit of graduates of Chautauqua
County high schools.
Foundation for Exceptional Children
Scholarship Awards 2001-2002 - The
Foundation for Exceptional children is
accepting applications for the Stanley
E. Jackson Scholarship Awards and Infinitec Scholarship Award to be
applied toward full-time, post-secondary
education or training during 2001-2002.
Post-secondary education or training
includes two and four year undergraduate
college programs or vocational,
technical or fine arts training
programs.
Inspiration Software Inc. will fund
scholarships to defray the costs
associated with attendance at a
workshop, conference, or graduate course
that focuses on visual learning and
technology in education. Candidates must
be educators in a K-12 public or private
school. A minimum of one year of service

Avista Corp.'s Mindpower Generation
Scholarship Program provides six $1,500
scholarships to graduating high school
students. These are one time awards to
help students with the critical
transition from high school to higher

Millennium Scholarship Nevada
